BIDA is the trade body representing Industrial Designers involved in product, service and interaction design. We promote their creative expertise, knowledge and experience. The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is the leading trade association for the UK Plastic Industry, with over 400 members and 1200 affiliated members. Encompassing the whole plastic industry supply chain including raw material suppliers, processors, machinery suppliers and recyclers. BPF membership represents over 75% of the plastics industry by turnover.

 

GTMA is a UK-based trade association representing leading companies in precision engineering, rapid product development, toolmaking, tooling technologies, metrology and other critical manufacturing related products and services.

 

 

 

The PMMDA (Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association) was originally formed in 1966 as the PMDA (Plastics Machinery Distributors Association). The Association celebrates their 50th Anniversary this year. The eight founder companies set out to agree a range of standards for both UK manufacturers and distributors of foreign machinery. Three of these companies, Soag Limited, Industrial Plastics and Hamilton Machinery Sales, are still with us. From the need for quality of products, technical competence and service back-up came our association.

 

The technical team of the PTIC have been involved in the delivery of training and consultancy support for UK and internationally based polymer processing companies for over 40 years. Since the original organisation was created as an Industry Training Board in 1975 they have worked with various blue chip multi-nationals to push the boundaries of polymer processing. The unique advantage of working with PTIC is their strength through diversity and experience of the staff they employ.
